Shadow of the Colossus Is Getting A Full Remake On PS4

Sony’s 2017 E3 press conference didn’t contain many surprises, but one of the few that did pop up was this trailer for a fully remade and remastered version of Shadow of the Colossus. This is definitely not something we were expecting, especially since the game and its predecessor ICO were recently ported to the PlayStation 3 in 2011, offering players a better way to experience the beautiful, but janky PS2 classic.

It seems a simple up-res of the game is not enough for Sony, who has not detailed which of its in house development teams is taking on the project. Odds are, it’s probably not the original Team Ico, as their last release took nearly a decade to develop.

Shadow of the Colossus is not scheduled for release until 2018.
